Digital Arts has posted my in-depth review of the newest version of Autodesk’s 3D suite.
A well as some major interface changes, 3ds Max 2010 offers a new ‘Graphite’ modelling toolset and ribbon interface, allows render-preview effects in the viewport, has enhanced OBJ support and introduces Containers and the Material Explorer. It’s also the first 3D app to make use of mental mill.
A full, in-depth review is available at Digital Arts and in the forthcoming issue
